What is RSS?
RSS (acronym for RDF Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is one of the most popular formats for web content distribution; it is based on XML, from which inherited simplicity, extensibility and flexibility.
RSS defines a structure suitable to contain a set of news, each one made up of various fields (name, author, title, text, summary, ...). When news in RSS format are published, the structure is updated with new data; considering that the format is predefined, any RSS reader can display in an homogeneous way news coming from different sources.

How to read an RSS feed
An RSS feed can be viewed in many different ways: using apposite programs called news aggregator or using the Rss visualization function available on iGoogle, Yahoo or similar online services. Latest versions of most popular browsers include some functions for feed reading.
